How to Recover from Pneumonia Naturally & Boost Immune System at Home?

Any suggestion for pneumonia? I broke down and went to urgent care after nothing I did was helping me feel better. They tried to have me admitted but me being me, I refused. I can do the breathing treatments here at home and take the meds. Why subject myself to more infection!?! Any thoughts on how to boost my immune system naturally to speed up my recovery?

Keep hydrated. Use an air flow peak meter. You need rest fluids and take any prescription as recommended. Use an asthma inhaler or prednisone to help clear out the gunk in your lungs. Stay out of the cold. Sit in the sunshine for a little bit each day. Don't do strenuous activity. If it gets worse go back because pneumonia can turn into a lung infection. And it can be deadly.
But nowadays doctors are not quick in this age of expensive medical costs. If he thought it necessary you probably should have gone.

I have an asthma inhaler and prednisone. I have been doing a little Vit D therapy for the past 5 days. I'm giving it till coming week; if I'm no better, I'll get in to see the family doctor.

Ages ago I let them put me in for it, and I ended up sicker then I was when I went in. After working in one for 12 years, I've become anti hospitals unless there is no other option. I think with the meds and breathing treatments I can kick it. Just wanted to know if anyone had some secret mojo juice lol that helped boost the immune system — something safe to add to what I have.

Vitamin C will absolutely cure pneumonia. Don't let anyone give you antibiotics; they'll do nothing for it (because it's a virus). The three main causes of pneumonia are bacteria, fungi, or viruses. Viral pneumonia is a complication of the viruses that cause colds and the flu. The virus invades your lungs and causes them to swell and block your flow of oxygen.

Take olive leaf extract at least 250mg, 3 times a day. I've had pneumonia twice, and the doctor's medicine didn't help. I took the olive leaf and was better in less than a week. It has worked for others I've told about it also.

I've been taking the Vit C a lot along with rosehips. I'm starting to feel a little better just still weak. I have been doing at home breathing treatments only because the coughing was driving me insane! It's helped a lot.

Pneumonia is actually a physical consolidation of foreign matter in the lungs. You can get it in many ways. Aspiration is very common among older folks. Bedrest will cause the lungs to consolidate. Also if you have severe congestion in the lungs of mucus, do what your Doctor tells you. Do the deep breathe and cough exercise because it is the most effective way to rid your lungs of particles. Move frequently and don't lie on your back.

Don't forget to cough and I know this is super gross spit. Cough before using your Incentive spirometer, then inhale for as long as possible then exhale for as long as possible.

Do this 10 times every hour while awake. Sleep on your side and turn every 2 hours from side to side only. Drink tons of fluids. Get your Vitamin C 🙂

Pneumonia is VERY serious, and once you get it once… it is easier to get to do preventive right from the get-go. If you have a cold or you choke when swallowing, your alveoli swell from inflammation, but it is the mucous/food/ sealing your lung together so you can't expand which eventually can lead to a collapsed lung. So do take proper care of yourself.

I don't know if it will help, but I use eucalyptus oil for bronchitis and colds. I've had pneumonia and bronchitis all my life. When my chest starts hurting or gets congested I boil a little water, take it off the stove, drape a towel over my head, add 5-6 drops of oil and breath in deep. It's really strong at first, you can feel it in your lungs. It takes away the pain in an hour or two. The last few colds I had and bronchitis last year I did it, and it wiped it out in a few days! I do it twice a day, in the morning and at night.

If you're looking to boost your immune system, check out turkey tail mushroom and reishi mushroom extract and teas! I've been following and researching this company https://fungi.com/ for 4-5 years, and the founder Paul Stamets has done amazing research over the past 30 years.

Here's a video in which he gave info on all sorts of discoveries they've made. He throws out some bizarre ideas and beliefs in the first few minutes, get through that, and you'll hear some unbelievable stuff! At 1 hr 20 min, you see some true medicine 🙂

Start consuming garlic in some form, white pine needle, mullein tea. If you're taking the antibiotics, you'll want a real probiotic like Apple Cider Vinegar or fermented veggies – you may want to check into atomized silver.

I take the atomized silver and probiotics. I've never been able to stomach the fermented veggies. I've done some research on what may be at the root of my problem. I had thyroid cancer years ago, so I don't have one at all. According to what I've read there are several vitamins, people without a thyroid need. Now I need to go buy them and see if they help any.

Cured my son's pneumonia that was completely unresponsive to antibiotics (makes me think it was viral) with Grapefruit seed extract capsules taken with goldenseal and echinacea tincture.
