Does anyone suffering from MTHFR has twitching under one of the eyes? If yes, what causes that and what we can do to fix it naturally? I’ve had it going on for 3 months now.
Yes, I had eyes twitching really bad when my adrenals were shot. Started fixing my adrenals and that ‘symptom’ went away a couple of months in. I did leave it for a long time before I addressed the real issue (adrenals), I will say it does get worse and not just in duration and frequency.
It would twitch, and then my vision would go dark for 10-30seconds in the same eye (that started about five months, after the twitching. Stressful situations made it 100% worse it was like having a ‘tick’ at times). That’s what made me actually address the issue (I wasn’t just being naive, I was fighting cancer natural at the time and was putting everything into that. Healing naturally is by no means cheap).
I had eyes twitching & leg cramps both for a while before I developed atrial fibrillation and a large blood clot in my heart. All of these are signs of magnesium deficiency. Take Magnesium Taurate, take Epsom salt baths, spray magnesium oil on your body, eat avocados and leafy greens and you can turn it around.
I supplement myself with sodium, potassium, and magnesium, all of these together reduced my cramps and twitching, especially sodium. I shoot for 5,000mg sodium/day.
Yes, usually 1 teaspoon AM and PM gets me where I need to be unless I’m working out and I may need an additional 1/2-1 tsp. Sometimes I just down it with a glass of water but usually, my first dose is 1 teaspoon, 1/4 tsp no Salt (potassium), juice of 1 lime, and several drops of Orange stevia – in 32 oz water. I sip on that all morning, it’s my own electrolyte drink.
My understanding is that blood levels of calcium is not that useful. Your body will rob calcium from bones to have enough in the blood, etc. I just added calcium 2 months ago (happens to be powdered, from Source Naturals), and I find my cramps are much reduced, including in my eyelids!

What supplement is there for sodium? Do you just up your salt intake?

Yes, I get it, it’s usually low potassium or calcium for me.
I actually just had a blood test to check those, and they were fine.
