I have been on it twice daily a few months now. It is ok & eases the pain a little bit. Now the doctor wants me to take it 3 times daily. It helps, but it more or less takes the edge off, and that's it. I was told the max dose is 600mg a day.

To get mine approved, I had to do a pre-auth with insurance. It was a hassle. Same with my slow release oxy. Also, I've been doing more CBD oil than Lyrica with way better effects.

I use to experience this horrible electrical buzz sensation throughout my body. After taking Lyrica for only two days. It totally disappeared. And has not returned. Had a couple of side effect though. Dry mouth which I can deal with. But it has affected my eyesight a bit, which I don't like.

I took Lyrica it didn't do anything for me, but I'm on Cymbalta now, and wow what a change in my depression and manages my pain very well. Lyrica instead caused me terrible weight gain. But it doesn't mean that it won't work for you; it does work for others.

Lyrica has terrible side effects. I was on it, and it started changing who I was. I was getting angrier, more depressed, experienced more pain, etc. Then it turned me into a psycho; my husband said it was like I was in a mental institution. He was afraid I was going to hurt him, anyone I was around I wanted to hurt, and I am not a violent person at all. It turned me mean, crazy, crying 24/7, depressed.

I quit taking the medication, and it took 6 months for it to get out of my system, but once it did, I went back to my nice normal self. It was a terrifying moment for me. I feared to hurt my family or myself. Doctors don't tell you how bad these medications can be. I had no idea Lyrica was going to do that to me. I've read many articles on what Lyrica has done to other people, and they experienced terrible things too. A lot of medications do more harm than good.

Everyone is different to meds, though. Lyrica has been good for me.

I also experienced the same reactions it made me very agitated crazed person. I became suicidal and also wanting to hurt my husband. Thank God I had enough sense to get off it. It took about 6 months to get out of my system.. This medication was definitely not good for me.

I have gained 20 pounds since the last few months, and I notice my feet swell more. The doctor was thinking about putting me on Cymbalta and take me off Paxil and Lyrica, but I'm somewhat nervous cause I've been on Paxil for 9 years.

I've just started taking it and its amazing as if someone turned down the volume on my pain: a welcome relief.

Sort of new to the game of Lyrica, been on it a few months. It seems to help a little with the pain, but my brain doesn't seem to be up to par while on it. I mess up on words, forget how I got somewhere after driving there, and have a hard time keeping my mind on one thing.

I took it for 6 yrs. I noticed it helped. When I took my medication, the pain subsided. So the Lyrica helped me. Unfortunately, I got pregnant and didn't know until I was past 6 weeks that side effects could be awful for the baby.

I stopped the medication but unfortunately miscarried at 11 weeks. I do believe the medication helps, but I don't want to experience that again, so I have chosen to stay off of it for now. If you plan on getting pregnant or think you might be, I would avoid it.

Everyone is different. You might benefit from it or find it useless. Just work with your doctor and see what is best for you personally.

It's over $1100.00 for 90 day supply of Lyrica. It works for me but I will be going on social security
at the end of the year and will not be able to afford it. I also take Cymbalta. I want to get off of it
but worry if they will offer anything else.

I'm on Lyrica. It's helping a lot. The side effects went away after about a month. I can now sit down without pain. Previously I haven't been able to sit in 3 years. Only lay or stand.

I couldn't cope with Lyrica. Helped relieve pain and reduce pain meds I'm on but I had seriously bad brain fog – worse than now. I work in the legal sector so can't take anything which affects my mental agility (more than fibro does anyway).

I take Lyrica, and it helps some with pain, but it's not enough by itself. It has the side effect for me of making me sleepy so I can only take it at night. Along with Clonazepam, which also makes me sleepy, I am usually able to sleep much better than most people with Fibromyalgia. Such a blessing. I am very brain foggy in the morning for about 2 hours, but since I am retired, I can live with that in exchange for sleeping well.

I like it after the dosage got adjusted. It was too high at one point, and the side effects were too bad. I have tried several different things with no luck. It's the only thing that helps my pain. Everyone is different and will have different experience.

I'm on 25 mg in the morning, 50 mg at night. My pain is at half, and my energy is a bit better. I am having a struggle with weight, and it's making me emotional.

I take 150 mg of Lyrica 2x a day, and it changed my life! I still have pain all the time, and of course, there are bad days, but I wouldn't be able to get out of bed at all without it.

I've recently started it & can really say it is turning down my pain levels, after 9 months of pain and trying perhaps 12-15 other meds, and this has been the only one to make a major difference.
