How to Heal a Scar on an Infant without Scarring Naturally at Home?

My 13-month-old daughter scratched her face pretty badly a few days ago, right by her mouth. I’d like to prevent it scarring, if possible. I’d love natural options, but willing to go the traditional medicine route if needed. Mederma Kids says ages 2 & up only. Can anyone suggest anything else, please?

We’ve been using vitamin E oil. It doesn’t appear super deep, but it’s almost split looking in the middle. She got scratched by our kitty on the arm a few weeks ago, too, and it’s already scarred.

Apply UMF 15+ Manuka Honey or higher on the scar. That can heal even 3rd-degree burns without scarring. We grabbed it for an oil pan spill that went down my thigh and calf. No scars anywhere!
Clean with coconut oil and apply Manuka often!! No worries about honey for kids at such age. Manuka is kosher pure!

The Neosporin scar cream is amazing along with Vitamin E and lavender oil! I fell down the stairs last July and got 7 stitches over my eye. It’s nearly completely disappeared by now. Not even a year later.

Vitamin E oil and cocoa butter have worked for me! I just break open a vitamin E liquid capsule and rub the goo all over the scar and massage well. I do think this is more so for after the scab has formed and come off though.

I just got a fresh aloe vera leaf from a regular food store. My son got himself a nice bump on a forehead. Just cut off a piece, cut it open, scoop up the aloe vera gooey insides and apply on a wound.

Keep it semi-moist. Skin is fantastic at healing itself with the right environment. I would also won’t hesitate in trying bacitracin or Neosporin to eliminate chances of scarring. But again moisture is key and Vaseline layer would prob work as well.

Nerium Cream – it’s plant-based, guaranteed to work, and absolutely amazing. My GF is the head of surgery at our hospital gives it to all of her patients. You won’t find anything better.

Keep it covered frequently with organic coconut oil; it’s a natural antibacterial, great at reducing and or eliminating scarring, soothing and won’t hurt her a bit even if she gets it in her eyes with zero side effects.
