Cannabis works amazing… And vitamins B12 or B6 can help as well. Or you can try eating 2 bananas a day. The cannabis literally takes my depression, and anxiety away. And it helps control my meltdowns. I don’t get them anymore.

I don’t recommend going on any anti-depressants. I used to take medication, and it made me a completely scary person. I was unstable. I couldn’t take care of my child, I couldn’t even take care of myself. And while I took my antidepressants every day, I never got better only worse. And turned into a zombie, until my husband couldn’t take it anymore and gave me cannabis. Lol.

I am tapering off my meds with the help of books of Dr Kelly Brogan and Dr Christopher Amoruso which I highly recommend. I got the worst withdrawal symptoms when I went off them on my own. You can eliminate depression naturally through nutrition and lifestyle changes and with the help of supplements. I urge you to try this first. No gluten, soy, dairy, Vitamin B shots & Essential Oils. Get bloodwork done.

Everybody is different and one person’s depression has a different cause than the next. It’s all trial and error with pharmaceuticals, what works for one person can easily make the next person worse. I manage my vitamins, especially Ds and Bs. I stay active and surround myself with positivity. I work through the tough times with therapy, meditation, sweat, and tears.

Good clean unfluoridated water, sunshine, exercise, fresh fruit and vegetables, deep breathing, relaxation… some herbs that might help are ginseng, Brahmi, Gotu Kola and Ashwagandha. Also vitamins such as D, C and especially Bs. And yes… cannabis oil would help people as well as long as it’s included with diet and exercise.

Cannabis oil with or without THC. IT CHANGED MY LIFE. My anxiety was at a level 7 every day and could hit Defcon 10 in 2 seconds. Now it’s like night and day, and the difference is amazing!

I still have yet to figure out all the details on the oils. How much $ does that run you a month??

I try to get the best quality oil I can find and since it’s not regulated it’s kinda hard. But usually, a 60ml bottle lasts me a month. Again depending on quality, it can run from $40-120.

I buy mine from Hemp Life Today (https://med-tips.com/goto/hemplife), and I pay $98 for a month’s supply of 25mg capsules. That is the CBD oil that only has 0.03% THC and doesn’t make you high.
But to answer your original question, I took Zoloft for PPD, and it worked well w/o any noticeable side effects. Even coming off it only gave me headaches for a couple of days. Nothing like the Effexor I tried before that. Steer clear of that stuff.

My family is new to pro-health and are currently detoxing. Although we had good results with Prozac and Abilify, our goal is to remove them forever from our lives. Please see a naturopath who is also an MD (this is who we’re seeing). This way if natural remedies aren’t working for you, he’ll be able to prescribe something. Good luck! Natural is always better! And… Since your body chemistry is different, this really isn’t a relevant answer for you. Even my kids needed a different med from each other.

I just want to say; please think of the level and severity of your depression and anxiety. Yes, I hate medicine as well, but during the times of true need, sometimes natural cures just don’t cut it. I’ve been there in the lowest of lows, and if you get there don’t hit rock bottoms simply to avoid pharmaceuticals.

Yes, they have yucky side effects, and I hate them for that, but first take care of yourself and your needs. Severe depression is very serious (i don’t know how severe yours is and maybe it’s not as bad as mine). I have tried every natural cure, and none worked. I’m in a period of doing better, so I’m not on anything, and I’ve tried almost all pharmaceutical brands, so I know the side effects of you have questions.

These are the ones I have found most effective in my clinic:
    a) therapeutic doses of fish oil,
    b) of EPA,
    c) of Natural Lithium, and
    d) A range of Amino acids esp L-Tryptophan.
Should be monitored by a Naturopathic practitioner trained in mental health.

I was on so many for over 30 years. Never again. I weaned myself off, went organic and start growing my own food. (GMO’s and pesticides have been linked to depression and I believe it!) Start something new. I got chickens and started making all of my soaps and cleaning supplies. Avoid all synthetic chemicals. Try everything you can think of before starting on those pills.
